I would like to thank you turk for your suggestion on the cluth setup I run in my 98srx700. I was at the local frozen lake today were everyong races radar and draggin. About 30plus sleds there. I kicked total ***. Conditions were poor. Locals say I should hit 10mph better in radar on good conditions. I still hit a 109.3mph. That was the fastest thing there that was a trail sled except a apex that hit 111.1mph. I lined up several sleds in a race and I destroyed the competition. I beat a rev 800, f7, and a zr900 to name afew. After 70mph I blew by everything. :die:

heres the set-up

52/44 helix W W W primary spring
8dn-20 weights 4.5g both holes
green secondary

I even had my secondary set wrong also with not enough side force 40degs.
I was hitting 8300rpm. I am going to change it to 60 degs and then I will be at about 8500rpm. My belt was slipping off of the start because it didnt have enough side force and everything was getting a little 2-3 sled length jump on me then I would reel them in and blow by them. With some more sideforce now hopefully I will own the lake from start to finish..we will see....

hey blueflash, i happen to be there on my 2000 trail srx and i think we had several races and I seemed to pass you about 100ft. out when i got traction and never saw you agian untill i let off on the other end. conditions were crappy but it was me that did 111 and the apex did 108, also did 125 with the srx improver, hope to see you in North Bay this weekend or the next time on Puslinch.

Heh, Take it easy on me, I just bought my sled and have only put 250kms on it since ive owned it, so its definetely not dialed in yet but I remember beating a srx one time then I thought you pulled out that race sled and smoked everbody. May not of been you though. Lost track of the srx sleds. How many were there that day I thought there were 3 all together. Anyways dont really matter if I got beat by a srx as long as its not anything else. The best run I got was a 109.3mph but I wasnt at top speed when I hit 2000ft. Im hoping to have that problem fixed for this sunday. Hope to see ya there...I wont be going to North Bay yet this year. I have to get the bugs figured out first. Everything is just starting to come together but Im definetely not done... Good Luck at North Bay. ;)!
