My SRX seems to be harder on fuel over other years, sled has over 8500 km or 5500 miles, no engines mod, carbs were cleaned, reeds were fine. It's now a 136 with 1.25 ripsaw geared 23/39.....it's running awsome right now, even giving the F7's a good run........any thoughts.........thanks............James

Anybody else have an idea, its using the same amount of oil which suprised me i thought if i am harder on fuel the amount of oil i use would also go up. I don't smell gas or have any gas in air box, could it be the fuel pump?...................James

Well talk to my local Yamaha tech and he said based on the 136 1.25" track, gearing at 23/39, clutched the way it is and the fact it was only -2C and i had my carb heaters on ..........because it ran fine with no boging, backfiring or any other problems he feels its the combination of all of the above contributed to the poor gas milage, easpecially the heated carbs being on......his only other suggestions would be to gear up to like 24/38 for the long haul trips to keep gas milage in check.............James
