any one running triple pipes(pi center dumps) with a singe layer gasket. the tech pages say to run 2 layers, but if im running 93 with oct boost will i be fine?
I personally wouldn't do it. I have ths same pipes and only had one layer and burned up 2 pistons. This was when I first installed the pipes and lean jetting could have caused most of the problem. I will say that the jetting was to PI recommendations but this set up for me has proved to be too lean. How long have you been using the pipes? What is your jetting set up?

I run Aaen with the middle gasket removed only.
I have only put 100 miles with the pipes and am runing rich right now.
I have seen guys on here running only one layer with pipes but I would be afraid with long pulls at WOT. DO you have a rear SRX heat exchanger?

I not only have an SRX rear exchanger but I also installed the side ones as well.

dont go to a one layer gasket with the heads shaved and no extra cooling.
Have you checked piston wash....that jetting seems a little lean for a tripple piped SXR.
I am running 147.5 mains and 50 pilots with my Aaen, middle layer from head gasket removed, reed spacers and the SRX rear heat exchanger.
Of course some clutching as well.
