This is what Im running
52/44 helix 8dn-20 weights 4.5g both holes
W W W primary
Green secondary.
At the beginning of the day I had my secondary set to 70degs and it was running at 8600rpm so I thought that was too high so I set the secondary to 40degs and It ran at 8300rpm. Now Im hearing that I was probably slipping my belt..
If I set my secondary to 60 degs I should be at about 8500rpm. Is that what you guys would do. Will this get the most out of my clutch???
I already kicked totall *** this weekend at the lake but most things got a 2-3 sled jump on me off the start. (probably because my belt was slipping)

great question, I am exactly where you are at, but with red spring at 70.
I want to know what effect the green vs. red springs have.

The 2-3 sled length jump could be a traction issue. What track do you use? I wouldn't go any looser than 60 degrees on a trail sled. Don't forget what mrviper told you about the 8dn-20 weights, good all around, if you want a drag race weight go with the 8bu00. It sounds like the set-up worked well for you, chances are you might have had some belt slipage so try it at 60 that should drop you 1-200 rpm.

heh rambunctious I was running Green at 70degs and hitting 8600rpm. Then I tryed it at 40degs and hitting a perfect 8300rpm but I think my belt was slipping because of not enough twisting force. I was told to try the Red at 80degs. I think thats what I will try next.
