I just picked up an 05 viper mountain for cheap but I didn't get a chance to ride it yet because we have no snow, I was just wondering if anyone rode a viper with the newer rear skid such as this and what did they think of it? Also how should it be set up!

I gave $3150 for it but it has 4400 miles, it's cherry when I got home I tore it apart and checked everything out. It has 2 sets of ski's narrow trail and the wide mountain also extra gearing and clutching for trail and mountain. I know it seems like alot of miles but it looks like new not hardly a scratch and before I got my rage I had an 02 viper with 8000 miles and it never gave me any trouble.As for the rear skid it has a pro mountain skid which was new in 05

sounds like a great deal to me, want to trade it for a 02?
The 05 mtn had the ck rear, the one with the torsion springs. Maxdlx ps that is a smoking good deal

Yeah I thought it was a good deal I bought it on ebay last week but the problem is that I live in central Pa and the sled was in north west Illinois I left friday morning and drove 700 miles one way worried it would be junk but I was amazed when I seen it. The owner kind of wrote it up stupid on ebay and not alot of people saw it. I had a 136 mountain perf kit on my 02 but I wanted a mountain max or mtn viper.
Guess if I would slow down and read, you said Mountain, my bad.
