Re-use reed cage gaskets???

I was just going to run into the garage and complete the reed notch modification for a ride tomorrow but don't have new reed cage gaskets. Can you re-use the existing or is that a baaaaaad idea?

I just got the thinner head gasket and only have time to complete one mod before my ride.

Reuse them, if they tear use black rtv sealant in those spots. Use a block of wood or a plastic hammer to break them loose from the reed blocks.
