Usually with the long travel, the stock transfer rod setup will be pinned to one end.
make whatever changes are needed to get 7 to 10mm gaps on each side.
more gap, more transfer, less gap, less transfer or coupling of front to back.
check while sitting on the sled.
when i long traveled, I machined some extensions for my stock rods, and made some nylon bushing to get the gaps to 10mm
