Again playing with clutching. Bender piped viper,23x38 gear,8 tooth drivers,1 1\4 track, 192 studs, roller sec 41\37 silver spring,80lbs.Tried several combo's. 4.3 heel , 3.3 tip good engagement 4200 would'nt pull good rpm 8500 finish at 8700 .Trail sled want 8700-8800 right out of the hole.Moved 3.3 to middle did'nt make much differance. Removed all arm weight now pull 8700-8800 all the way through, does not move and does not over rev on top. Would like to see 8900-9000 on top.It backshifts amazing with no arm weight and is very snappy. But compared to my heavy hitters which is no heel weight 3\8 stl thk washer, 3\8stl thn washer it does'nt feel like it pulling as hard on top end. Marked the primary with the clickers and it looks to be shifting out 1\4 to 3\8 from the top of the primary. Are the heel clickers as good as everybody says. Because there is no arm weight i'm wondering if all i'm doing is making noise?

Use the red primary spring & a green secondary spring at 60 wrap. I think your gonna be quicker with those pipes at 8500 holeshot maxxing out at 8700 tops. Load the heel & tip to get the sweet spot.Your gearing with 8 tooth drivers is also very low.

Alot of people recomend the green sec spring. What is the difference between the silver and green. Also are you recomending 60 not 70 on the sec for more top end pull? Bender recomends 8750 for those pipes, is'nt 8500 a little low? What do you think of the heel clickers are the a better profile for trail riding than the stock 8ek's or hh ? thanks

Silver is a bit much on a low torque sled. Your best drag race results are coming out 2-300 rpm under peak hp & slowly raising rpm,s. The hc,s have a polaris profile; same as the hh,s.

If i was drag racing coming in low on the start would be ok. But for trail riding the motor wakes up nice 8700 8900. Am i getting good performance with no tip weight. IF i take the shoulder weight out maybe i can run a little tip weight. I just don't want to raise engagement to much. Even with no arm weight the clickers still weigh 5 grams more than the bender 8 ek. Anyone with bender triples and heel clickers with good setup would help.

You might want to talk and listen more to what Turk has to say. He and a few others on here know what they are talking about.
