Help Viper shock mount bolt keeps breaking
02 Viper, 144 studs, control rods are frozen and have been since about 2000 miles. I now have about 5500 miles on the Vipe and on my last two trips, the throttle side bolt, that holds the front shock mount in the rear suspension to the slide rail has broken. Last time I took the whole skid frame out, had to weld the groove back on that the shock mount straddles and bought new bolts for each side. Does anyone have a suggestion as to what to do. Worst case scenario, anyone have a slightly used viper skid frame to sell me? I am in Madison, Wi. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
md

if it is the style with the two bolts, then drill it out, use the long bolt and nut used on the rx1/srx skids.
this will help. make sure and reweld the ears back on and if you can weld another facing forward.
