personaly i dont think its possible. my buddies f6 is faster then my sxr 700 piped clutched and rods set ay full transfer, with a old belt. but still ill be mucky to take him on the lake with my new belt not lookin like its gonna happen no mater what i do unless i port, polish and bore. the f seris cats are extreamly fast for there engin size. i think the srx 700 was around 140 hp stock and 495 dry might be wrong on the weight. a f7 is around 140 stock and 460 dry a f8 is prolly another 15 hp onto of that. and not much heavyer. i can only get my buddy off the line for 30 yards then he takes me by 4 sled lengths or so. just remeber if ur ever riding with him in the trails tehres a 90% more chance ull be towing him out of the woods rather then him towing u. thats how i always look at it. he may beat me on the lake but my sled will always be mroe reliable no mater how much i beat it. ive owned a yamie sence i was 14 and ive only had to be towed out once. and that was my own fault and dindt tighten the drive shaft bolt enoght after i changed the track

My well tuned '97 sx 700 with aaen pipes and my own clutching with 192 studs and a camo one inch track SMOKED my buddy's F6 time after time. Right off the line i was ahead, pulled further and further the faster we were going.

SRX's weigh closer to 545 dry on my scales. Evidently my scales are fat.
I'd say your scales are about dead nuts on, I remember one of the sled mags had them at 544 dry.

Your scale reads the same as ours, those srx are right around 545 - 550 dry. We have a goal of cracking 500 with mine this year just with aluminum parts and no lightweight hood or pipes. It will be tough but we are on the way.

Blue devil, whats your current set up, we could help you dial it in maybe, I am talking clutching, track, studs, your weight, and anything extra you may have such as transfer rods etc.

BTW_ If all I was worried about was running 660ft, then I would use 8bu-00 weights with 4.5 rivet in tip only, nothing in middle hole, a white maxx performance spring, 15mm rollers, 50-40 helix with a green spring at 80 degrees. You better have good traction, 192 studs, trnasfer rods and suspension set up. Sled should be jetted down for drag racing, you want 8100rpm out of the hole and climb to 83-8400rpm at the very end

Thanks for the replys. Mrviper Iam running 8bu-10 wieghts(Not sure on rivets) with a red sping ,secondary is stock set 3+3 with stock gearing,I have 30mm off the heads +3 base gaskets ,bender cold air kit,v-force 2 reeds, with a set off power inc pipes,I have 192 studs in a 1 inch lug pediter track I also have a set of transfer rods.Iam going to order the stuff you suggested does it matter what brand of helixs? should I order 2 springs and helix from Maxx performance?

green secondary spring is yamaha, you may be able to buy it thru maxx perf.

50/40 helix is available thru maxx

the primary spring is a maxx perf item, it was 60/135 rates, someone told me they(maxx) no longer make the spring, you could also go with a black(68/136), but it will have a higher engagement speed, better have good traction on the ice with it. Call them and ask about the white, it always worked great for me.
