Risers - How high before cable problems?


some say 3 inches. i went 2 on my sxr with no problem but if its a twin u need a longer oil pump cable i fould only go an in with out a new cable. i had to but the powermad extention for my 500 so i could go 3 on there. also went with alot wider bars liek 3 inches then stock and ran into the throtle being to short and went faster aroun lefthand corners then i wanted to. and once into teh garage by its self when the kill switch was broken and i forgot my key so i had teh ignition unpluged pulled teh skies to line it up with the garage and it took of and took out a grill and a jet sled. i say u can go 3 with the right reruning of teh cables if its a tripple.
 
2" on the SRX is it. The SRX also has two cables on the throttle. One for the gas and one for the oil pump as mentioned above. You can however convert to the Viper style pump cable and get away with a single extension to go higher.
