Crank Seal Blowing Out

I'm posting this question about a 1988YZ80 because you snowmobile guys know more about 2 strokes.

My sons bike will blow out the crank seal on the mag side after about 5-6 hours of riding. It will loose power and die. If we reinstall the seal it will run fin until its blows out again.

Any ideas whats causing it to fall out?

are you installing a new seal each time

Try cleaning the out side of the seal and the engine side where it mounts and put a thin coat of automotive silicone around the out side of the gasket then install it leave it sit for at least 24hr that might hold it .

Yes, I have tried new seals, but they hold just as long as a used one.
