I just installed a set of viper shocks+quick rods on my Sxr600
I was just wondering if anyone can recommend a good staring point for setting my suspension up.

I am 160lbs with gear, I am an aggressive trail rider, I also ride two up on ocassion.
Thanks

Set rods second from maxed out.

Depending if theyre 02 viper shocks, if they are, then preload em to notch 2 or 3, if not, then max em out then for the rear, max it out for preload, they bottom, especially two up and this will counteract. If you dont like the setup, determine if its front heavy such as if the steering feels heavy, then adjust accordingly, and opposite if it feels it pushes through corners(put more weight on skis)

How do you find the viper shocks so far and how was the install, did you have to change any bushings or anything at all?

I like to run the center spring preload almost maxxed, FRA in center position, and adjust rear spring for a 60/40 control rod gap.

Yeah they are off an 02...which are the harder riding ones i believe!
I changed every bushing/bearing I could find because I have the skid out anywayz due to a broken W arm!!
Where should I set the limiter straps to begin with?

Thanks for the advice!!
