Tach interchangibility

I was wondering what Yamaha tachs will work with what models?? I have a 98 MM 700 and got a raptor lite hood. I need the >2000 style tach...separate tach/fuel gauge. Will an SRX 600 or SRX 700 both work for the MM?? Same with a 600 SXR....

If you are talking about using the large dual gauges instead of the single housing it works. I've done it on my sled.

That would be any of the SXR, SRX, Venture, Phazer, VMAX dual gauges??

Yes the're all the same. You'll need a different wire harness that goes from the stator under the engine to the instruments if your changing from the single cluster to the individual gauges. I know there's a way to jumper the original harness but a newer harness is the cleanest and easiest way to do it.

I think you just need the hood harness. I jumpered my its reallllllly easy. Basically there are more back lights on the dual gauges than the pod.

Damn Jwiedmayer you are correct sir. I forgot the hood harness was seperate, I was thinking it went from the instruments to the connection near the stator.

That's what I was really hoping to hear!! That'll certainly make it easier to find.....
