just bought the vmax 600 on monday and it has a exhaust leak. i went to the local dealer to get gaskets and he said just use silicone. does anybody have thoughts on this? i have to go to the local autostore today anyways and will pick up some copper hi temp silicone. hopefully the dealer has a clue.

No, no , no WTF....you need to find a new dealer,, there IS a gasket for it,#2
the part no is;
821-14613-01-00
go to your neares Yamaha dealer and give him this no.
You do need to use just a LITTLE hight temp Gasket maker on the flange
(flat part on the exh. manafold)

I have not had good luck with the factory ones.
These have worked well for me.
