How well would a yamaha primary spring www or ywy work with heel clickers? To get the correct rpm 8700-8800 I'm am running the red clicker spring,3.2 shoulder , no arm weight! 41\37 roller 22x38 gear. silver sec at 60.It pulls steady 8700 to full shift out to 9000. If i take out all the shoulder weight and add 3.2 to tip or middle it won't pull more than 8500 , not snappy enough. Also the clutch seems so hot to touch. also what is the differance between the red, silver and green sec spring?

those yamaha springs wont work, too soft. I went back and looked at your previous post, with the bender pipes you want 8500 out of the hole and climb to 87-8800rpm on a long run, you want it at 8500rpm off the bat because this is where your torq. curve is, your max hp is up at 87-8800rpm, you dont clutch to max hp, you go off the torq curve. Turk gave you instructions to set it up.

your also running a 1.94 ratio gearing with your 8 tooth drivers, fine as long as you dont want to run the sled at anything over 80-85mph.

With a roller secondary your gonna need alot of rear secondary twist in order to controll the shift, they shift very rapidly and backshift the same, so I would use the silver secondary at 70-80 for starters and then you need around 4-5 grams in the heel, and nothing in the middle hole, and start with 2-3 grams in the tip, see what it does and we can go from there.

thanks for the reply!Mrviper you have alot of experience with heel clickers.Head to head is there a noticable differance in performance compared to the stock 8 eks.Do you think it's the best way to go as far as an aftermarket clutch? You've done the testing, what do you run. I want to get my sled dialed in because my friend just bought a new f6 and i have enough trouble with the f7. Thanks Steve.
