what side do you peen them on and does it matter?
I don't think it matters, just peen them evenly and snug.

Technically it doesn't matter but you should do all three weights the same. IE insert the rivet from the part number side, peen the other side over. Or vice versa.
It's probablly spliting hairs, but....
