Almost there on my set up for SRX 136, right now with 23/39 gearing...primary with www, 8dn20 w/4.5g in both holes, 51/43 helix with green spring at 70deg.......it engages only at 3700-3800, hits 8100 out of hole and still over on top at about 8650 ......so i was thinking of of using a Hauck orange primary that has 55/2.25/125 over the WWW 45/2.25/119 to raise engagment (rather than using shims) and go with 5.0g rivets in the tip to help bring down the top rpms to 8500.......WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK?...................James

youll raise your topend rpms even more then, you cant go up in spring rate and have lower rpms!!. If you want more engagement, use spring shims. more engagement on snow is slower though!, Get the 5.0 rivets, or use some washers on the 4.5 rivets and place in the tip and run it. You can also try to run the green sec at 60 and see if it will overshift or not, sometimes thats all that is needed to correct it, your only 150rpm off, not very much. you do have the stock 15.6 rollers on the sled right? cause the w/w/w spring is more enggaement only then the y/s/y spring is, but if you had say 15mm rollers I could see this engagement problem

Ya i kinda figured that orange spring would be too much even for the 5.0g rivets, but i thought i would ask.....as far as i know i have the stock rollers in the primary......i will try the sec adj first, then go with the 5.0g rivets if needed.....BUT you are saying the my engagment is ok at 3800?......thanks for the help..............James

the lower the engagement on snow, the better your traction is! The srx likes to be loaded hard from the start, so if its not falling on its face, I personally like a lower engagement speed on snow.
