I was at the Yamaha show last evening in Minneapolis and asked one of the reps the weight on the vector. He said out of the box, 550 lbs. I believe the Viper ER was 529 lbs. Around 20 more lbs than initially thought.

They are being tricky again with their wording, if you read what they say its the vector will weigh what a viper er weighs wet. so the wet thing is where they are getting us, I figured that was what they would do when I first read about them a couple months ago. Wet on a er is about 550lbs so they are right in there with their statements, not that it makes it any better for us but that is the advertising game. We all need to learn to read between the lines if you will with all the rags.

Thanks for the feedback. I am not surprised, and that is one reason i couldnt buy one. Go figure if a zr 900 weighs less than 530 (per snowtech)--not that I am a cat fan...
If your going to deal with 550ish you should go the full 1ton IMO ,and have the HP and suspension.
