Anyone ever broken a rear center shock on a viper suspension? I broke my updated shock at the lower mounting point. Shaft still looks good and straight. Just curious if anybody else had this happen.
my friends rev broke his center shock shaft as well, the eyelet is welded so it can fatigue and fail...CP

Im gonna cut out the eyelet, then drill out the weld where the shaft goes through the cup, weld the shaft back onto the cup, and then weld the eyelet back on. I am only missing the shock wiper. As it looks, it appears as the oem weld was weak in one small area, as it had rust near the break on the shaft.Almost as if the oem weld was incomplete.

get a shat and rebuild it ur self. thast what my bro did when he broke his. he replaced it with one out of a sx front shock we had sittin around. it was the same thred and diamiter and like 1/4 longer so it gave a little more transfer cause it broght the front of teh skid a bit higher up. i have teh shock in my sled right now and havent had any problems with it. a shaft is probaly cheep enought to replace was only gonna coast me 75 for my ohlin. and u can get them after market now from parts unlimited for liek 2 or 30 i think.
