I just finished a 144 X 1.5 Track on my old trusty srx. Looking for some clutching ideas. Its a 2000 srx with stock gearing(I am leaving it stock for now). I have the standard Bender9970 helix as well as the stock helix. This sleds use will be off trail for the most part. Let me know. Thanks

have You test ridden it yet since you put the 144 track and skid on there? how do You like it...do you feel 144 was a long enough jump...im thinking 151 since im going thru all the work...rite now im gathering parts....i would try a 23/40 helix.....the 144 will hook up great and you will like it but will lose a little on top end with the extra track and paddle. my 144 will probably do 100mph with 23/40 8 tooth drivers. ...did the 1.5 track fit just fine with the 9t drivers or did you do something to get that to work without hitting the front heat exchanger?Maddogs700srx said:I just finished a 144 X 1.5 Track on my old trusty srx. 1.5 fits perfect. No issues. I have only had time to take a short flat lander ride so far. I picked up the Tunnel ectension and rail extensions from tracks USA. I had a 136 X 1.25 before. The rails extensions from Tracks are the best out there I think. For one, the are of the tip up design for better trail performance and they are also a full length hyfax design. The tunnel extension on nothing to exciting, however it works and it also gives you different options for bumpers, and coolers as the are not pre-drilled for anything. My only issue right now is I seem to have some belt slippage I can't get rid of. Under any heavy loads it just smokes the belt new or otherwise. I love this sled, I'll never sell it. She has just over 10,000 miles now and still going strong. I mostly ride my Warrior now, but the SRX will stick around forever.

hmm 10,000 mi on that SRX wow thats good to know...i plan on rebuilding mine better than it was every year til theres no more to do to it....im guessing youve taken the clutches off a time or two in that 10,000 mi....have you used a clutch allignment tool to check your clutches...they may be off adn if so just shim em a bit to make that belt smoke go away!...should do the trick!Maddogs700srx said:1.5 fits perfect. Clutches are pretty decent as far as alignment goes.

run the 8dn 2o's with 4.5 both holes, w/w/w/ spring for 41-4200rpm engagement, or a yellow/silver/yellow for a 37-3800rpm engagement.
stock 15.6 rollers and a 48/42 helix with red secondary at 7-80, or a green at 60-70
if you do alot of dragging you can run a 51/43 helix, the smaller 48/42 will be better in powder and offtrail.
