You will have a great time and I think you will find the conditions to be fine. Of course there will be some snirt near the towns and probably along the lakeshore, but with weekday riding it will be a great trip. If you can work in the ride down from Seney to Watersmeet and over to Presque Isle on your way back to Ironwood. There is some great forest road riding in some of those areas. I am jealous. Have a blast.

take a look at that post.... you will grin.... I just came from the trails around here (negaunee) they are very good right now. I think if the weather cooperates a bit it will be good for a while. 34 degrees and climbing right now tho :( wave on your way past negaunee. Black Viper, I am in black with black helmit and usually on the trails around here during the weekdays.

which side of escanaba are you coming into? if you come from the gladstone side the trail is closed from gladstone to escanaba, which can be avoided if you know your way around via local trails.

If ya want some good off trail on your first day, and your sick of riding the grade. Jump on the powerline just north of twin lakes, about 20 miles south of Houghton. It will take you right back on the trail, just south of Houghton. AWSOME!!!!!!! Stop in the bar in twin lakes, and they can tell you where to get on the line.
