I put reverse in my 01 SRX and when I back up and a little snow hits the flap, the picks catch the flap & pull the sled right down & stops it.
Question? Is there a different stock flap I can use for reverse
that won't do this?

i just hop off the sled and back it up , but you can cut the flap along the bottom line and it won't catch anymore , but your buddys might no like it as much ...

Flap off an 08 or newer nytro or apex I would think should work, they,re hard. It's still gonna catch if you are backing up anywhere other than the trail because of the snow pushing on it. You can get the nytro one in blue if you want too I believe.

i saw a product for sale somewhere that basically goes behind the flap and stiffens it up so it wont get sucked into the track. Someone crafty could rig one up with an old metal coat hanger i would bet. Gamma sales sells the product i was thinking of on page 519 of their catalogue, labelled a rear snow flap support bracket.

if you used a coat hanger it would bend everytime you back up into snow. you'd have to use something that won't bend but will keep returning to where it was before. Just buy a stiff snow flap or drill a hole in it and bungee it up to the bumper with a short bungee when your going to back up in snow and then throw it back in your trunk

Im running one on my Viper... same mounting holes.
To fix the reverse problem, run a peice of 1" wide nylon strap around the bumper down to about the 1/2 way point of the flap, rivet it right to the flap. Here's a pic from HCS, need to tighten the strap up a bit more than he did for our Yamaha's
