I think this has been talked about before, but i am really considering pipes just need to get real numbers from guys running them. I dont care about 4-6hp difference from one to the other just gas mileage and what temps you have run them without issues. this winter i rode in -40 to +53, i dont want to screw with jetting when the temps change every 5 degrees. any help would be great.
I run tempaflow and CPR pipes on my SXR and range from 10 to 14 depending on how hard I drive it.

Viper Gas Mileage (Pipes)
I have the same sled w/ CPR pipes. Great sled, pipes could use a little better fit & finish but I cleared that up in an afternoon w/ my welder and some creativity. As far as mileage, I typically see between 9 & 12 depending on how I'm riding. Reliability has been good - I have 5100 miles on the sled, about 2800 this season with a Tempaflow and I love it. I ride in International Falls, MN so I see the same range of temps you described. This year I rode with the same jetting from -30F to +50F and my EGTs were consistent at all times. I can't comment on which pipes are best but if you do some research on here you can probably make a good decision. I would highly recommend a Tempaflow or similar compensating device to avoid the jetting changes you describe. I'm going to add remote fuel screw adjusters this summer to help dial in the low end and hope to get my mileage up in the 12 - 13 mpg range consistently.

I have an 02 Viper with Speedwerx pipes and dial-a-jets. This past season of riding in Michigan, I got 16 to 20 mpg. Last ride to the UP was late in March and got 20mpg on day 1 and 19.8 on day 2. I am jetted relatively low at 152.5, but thats what using the dial-a-jets allows me to do.

My brother has an '03 viper, and we put the CPR pipes on it also, and got the same kind of gas milage. No tempaflow (yet), just jetted exactly as specified in the dirrections for safe trail. Not a single problem. Performance is great, but gas milage did suffer. Ask him if he cares when he beats all his buddies!
