94 vmax 600 le & 95 vmax 600 dx project

I am working with both machines to get one sled for my son. I started this project 1/1/2006. The black vmax is the 94 le and the blue one is the 95 dx.

Have you considered a polaris edge or pro-action skid. It actually is quir easy to do a skid swap. I installed a2000 venture 600 skid in my long track 94 ST. Took about 7-8 hours to complete. If interested I can give some advice on this.

seems like your doing it right at least..i like it.but i too would update the suspension if i was that far into something.you should be able to find a rx1 skid or somthing around $250-300....

I can not tell you enough how much a difference the updated skid will make for you. I put an 03 RX1 skid in my 95 vmax 600, it rides like a whole new machine now and is much more enjoyable. Do it since you already have the whole thing torn down.

Try to find a pipe from a 96 600 XT. It is a larger better flowing pipe and doesn't have the Y-pipe setup like 94-95 had that liked to rust out and break. The 96 XT had a donut.

This is my sled. You can kinda see what they look like with the 2000 Venture skid. Video is around 11 meg so it might be a little slow to load.

There is guy parting out a 96 XT 500 on Ebay. He has alot of parts inc side panels. Search 96 xt to find them.
There is also a 96 600 single pipe on there as well. It come up under the same search. Less than 2 days left on the pipe.

I have a 96 V-max y pipe and exhaust pipe if you decide to go that route. Let me know we can work out a deal.
