I want to strengthen the running boards on my 2000 SRX 700 and I have access to some stainless steel rod in different lengths by millimeter. I searched and could not find the post I read a while back that gave the size to use.
Thanks.
Thanks.

i dont think taht will do much for flex. its alrerady pretty stiff along its length its the width that usaly flexed quite a bit. i used a pice of aluminum angle and used it to replace the rear bolt plate. stiffened it up conciderably.

That is a good idea.
I did read some ware that if you put a metal rod down the hole on the side of the running board it would disperse some of the flex along the whole side and this could potentially prevent a big bend. I am a big guy and like to jump so I need to strengthen things up.
