Hi guys !.
First a pic of my SRX.
This weekend my friends and I had the seasons first real ride. Basically there isn`t enough snow, we have to ride a gnarly tight wood trail in about 10km/h for about 3 kilometers before we start climbing up on the mountains where the snow comes.
My friend took his virgin ride on his V-Max 4 with newly installed 57mm lug belt, had a coolant leak that had to be fixed before we took off.
Sadly we discovered that the left side slide was wearing way to fast, probably caused by the uneven boogie, so my friend decided to turn around and go home to check it out. His brother and I then headed for the mountains.
My friend posing in the sunset with his Vector MTN. about 950meters above sea level.

This is me, sitting on the highest point of our island, 1010 meters above sea level.
Antother picture.
My friend checking the thickness of the ice. The ice itself was about 50cm, but there was a mixture of water/ice/snow ontop of the ice.
A little pitstop on top of a somewhat demanding hill.
A hill we found, it was pretty steep.
Time to chill a little and eat some sausages.
Again at the highest point of our island, this picture (and the two above) was taken today, two other friends of our came along, one guy rode a 1998 Polaris Indy 500 and the other a 200(3?) Summit 800 HQ 144".
Well that was all for now. I hope there will come some more snow soon, only 5-10cm down at sea level where we live/ride from, when you go over 350meters there`s enough.
Wellwell

Hi guys !
Thanks alot for the nice comments, I guess we are more used to the views up here, if we went to the US then we would probably be just as amazed by the landscape down there.
Archer, what do you mean by lat/long?. The island is called Tjeldøya , it lies just between Troms county and Nordland county (it`s in the north of Nordland county).
Here some pictures from last year, back then I rode a 2003 RX-1. Good memories.
(this is at the highest point of our island, same as I mentioned in the first post, the mountain is called "Trollfjell" , do you know what a Troll is?.
My old RX-1.
This is a hill we call "The wiking hill" ,(as you can see it`s steep, since you don`t see it) in the old days when the narrow-trackers didn`t have enough lugs and engine power, it was only the Viking that made it up this hill, therefore "The viking hill" ,hehe.

Sorry. Latitude and Longitute coordinates from GPS, etc.
OK I think I found it. I dont think there is anywhere in Michigan that looks quite like that!
Lots of islands and mountains. Do many people live there?

Nice sun.
My friend in the background is studying his knee after he rolled twice with his vector on top of those mountains, had to go to the doctor and get a few stitches hehe.
(no damage to sled, only the genius plastic windshield screws that snapped off as they were suppost to).
Here`s a pic of my old V-Max 540, literally a lake runner.. hehe.
That`s all for now.
Joakim.
OK archer, hmm no sorry I don`t have any coordinates, but I have a GPS, handheld Garmin, maybe I can get them for you ?.

Download Google Earth basic (free download), it's great for finding coordinates and altitude.
