I have a 2004 sxviper montain and i got a bender silencer and today i went riding around and my sled was iddeling at 3500 rpm and sometimes it went up to 4000...my buddy has a 2003 F7 with a quiet silencer and he had the same problem as me....do annyone know what the problem is??

before my sled reved at 1500, i put my silencer 2 months ago and i didn't have anny problems, but yesterday my sled has reving at 3000 and more all day...it was almost going without pressing the trottle.

was there a big difference in temps from your last ride to when you put the silencer on?

try opening up your fuel screws 1/4 turn. Obviously, also check your throttle cable tension and idle adjustment on the carb rack.

flip your choke for a second when the idle hangs if that fixes it, a quick fix would be once the sled has idled down turn your idle screw out until the rpms are running around 1400. some guys adjust the fuel screws, but this will work and it changes constantly with the temp on mine.
