I shimmed my 2002 viper with two pieces of a old drive belt on the rear part of the rubber stoper and screwed it in with two screw on each rubber stoper.
Condition were wet yesterday lots of slush and loose snow and all that i can say is i cant beleive that such a little minor thing can make such a difference , i have nearly no more darting and it carves like a hot knife in butter i do have 8 inch carbides. My biggest complaint was from my friends mx 600 , everytime we stoped he complained of his machine darting all over the trails and not being able to take corners.
I cant wait to try the sled when winter conditions resume on the trails.

I too couldn't believe the difference! I also later upgraded to 8 inch carbides and the new "deep keel, saddle less Yammie skis". This thing turns like it's on rails, and havn't had a derailment yet lol.

Ski shims
Did you shim from the top or under the rubber? How thick was the shim?

Under the rubber on the rear. I used piece of drive belt , just the width od the rubber stopper and then screwed it in with two screws. check this link out it should give you a better idea !JERSEYJOE said:Did you shim from the top or under the rubber? How thick was the shim?

Anyone know what length shim should go with C&A pro skis? Bergstrom told me how to measure but my carbides look to be sitting flush on the ground with no shim but he said someone told him that they had to use a 1" thick shim on C&A!
