First year RX-1 question

only real PROBLEMS i know of them is that in extreme vertical situations they would sometimes bog because the fuel in the float bowls would move away from the main jet, so it would stall at that position. Aftermarkets made jets with longer heads on them that penetrate further into the bowl to eliminate this problem. That being said, the '03s definately aren't as well suited to the deep stuff as the newer four stroke mountain machines, having the old style rear suspension with less transfer and planing, heavier weight, etc. However if the deal is good and its what you are looking for go for it. Well still be a great sled in my opinion.

about the suspension problem... this sled had full Holtz front A-arms and rear skid. Also Bender exhaust and light weight battery. So the only problem left are the float bowls??? This could be an easy fix. What kind of reliability issues are there with these sleds and what kind of mileage are we seing from them? Thanks for the help

I've been told mid to high teens in "normal" driving with those sleds. As for reliability, I can't speak to that.

I see them for sale in the classified adds and trader mags for anywhere from $4500-6000 depending on mileage and such.
