I was wondering what grade of gas others are using and how many miles others are getting per tank.. Also what kind of oil are you guys using (brands/synthetic/semi). I have an 01 vmax 500 bored out to a 600, actually about alittle over a 600. But info from any yami owners would help

First off welcome to the site.
I have both a 95 and a 96 Vmax 600. I run 97 octane. Both get a min of 10 MPG under even the worse conditions. If you drive really easy it can be as high as 13/15 MPG. No pipes no heavy engine mods. I run YamalubeS2. I normal get about 100-125 miles per qt of oil.

I get about 10 with my 2004 viper, and a bit more than 12 or so with 2002 VMax. I run the Yamalube and use about a tank of oil to two tanks of gas or so.... I buy bulk oil so I am not sure.... I buy whatever the cheapest unleaded regular is that i can get as that is what the manual says I can run and both sleds have the YES warranty.... so I think it is something like 87 octane.
where the heck you buy 97 octane? isn't premium like 92 or somethin? av gas like 104 or so?

Premium 93 octane in the srx, regular 87 octane in the viper and sx 700r. Amsoil Interceptor in the srx and viper, Amsoil HP injector in the sx 700r.

with some of the sleds I have read about on here 97 octane wouldn't suprize me, but where the heck you get it. I know there was a place in Gaylord that had a ~100+ octane leaded pump. Great gas to run in my modded Eagle Talon.... could turn the boost way up with that stuff.
I forgot to mention both my sleds are stock except for smaller jets in the viper.
Thanks for the welcome Caravanman. It's nice to be here! Thanks to you all for the input! I have only been able to take my sled out about 65 miles or so since I've owned this one (this winter forgot what season it was). I put 93 in it first fill and it's getting to about a quarter tank so I figured I ask questions before I filled up on expensive gas again, and oil!! I'm thinking I might go with 89. Apparently some towns about two hours from me got a good amount of snow last night so I'm looking to go out this weekend if all goes well. But I still have no snow at all here.
Sorry for venturing off the subject question a little, but I had my 02' Viper owners manual out the other day and noticed that it calls for 88 octane and highier. I do not believe that is has ever had anything over 87 for the past 5,700 miles.
Oh and nothing but S2 Yami Lube.

87 octane is FINE in a viper
Yes, 87 seems to run fine in a Viper, I just had never noticed the 88 recomendation in the owners manual before. Many gas stations do not have 88 Octane. I think Sunoco has 88 as an option.

I used 93 in mine at first but next time it's going to be 89 I think..

Use 93 octane in my Vmax4 and my Vmax 600. I am getting 10mpg with the Vmax 4, haven't had the Vmax 600 out yet this year to see what it gets since doing the twin pipes, jetting and clutching, but when it was stock I would see 12mpg. I have only ever used Yamalube 2S in my sleds. When I am gonna be ripping on the Vmax4 I'll mix the 93 with some 100 octane just to be on the safe side.
