Even stock they work fine. Two of my buddies run long stretches no problem..both on an SRX and a Viper...My SXR has far too many holes to be confident but it will do it in a pinch...you never know when you're gonna get caught out...

Been there done it on my SXR.
I dont look for water but have run open water without problems.
Not super long runs but I know my machine can do it.
The amount of opening for water to potentially get under the hood and onto the clutches is a little scary.
