Has anyone had success with CPR triples, CPR head Mod, Heel Clicker II (swingout weight) & rear heat X, on an 04viperS with DCS.
I can't stop the DCS light from coming on at 75-85 mph.
I was told the CPR head mod would "Cure" the DCS light problem.
It has not!
Jetting is fine - piston wash is good and jetted exactly the same as 03 viper/cpr pipes with 6,000 miles on it with with NO problems and NO DCS (egt gauges only).
It is not the HCII clutch kit setting off the DCS (knock sensor) as it has been swapped out and put back in (also ran entire year last year with it no issues with DCS light).
I have emptied the gas put new 91 fuel in + Octane Boost and still have the light on the dash going off at 80 mph!
I have pulled the DCS unit out of the head and (isolated) strapped to the coolant hose.
NO light 100+ mph and all is well with piston wash.
Has anyone WITH DCS successfully installed and run these pipes??? I really would like to run the DCS unit - as opposed to adding egt gauges.
I am thinking I may have a sensitivity issue with the harmonics/sound reverberation of the pipes? Is there a way to adjust (BUT NOT ELIMINATE the function of the DCS) the sensitivity by adding a resistor or by other means??
Help??
