Has anybody on here seen any gains on a npv 600 with aftermarket reeds or rad valves or the like. Also is a boost bottle of worth the hassle?

I can tell you that with my reeds, I did notice a difference in low end and mid, and throttle repsonse was better. This is no bull either, it felt quite a bit more torquier.
Boost bottle isnt really worth the effort, mostly for highly tuned engines, but would make a good summer project. If you reed up on the boost bottle, all it does is act as an equalizer for the carbs and a temporary place for air. More power egine = more air flow, and would be felt rather than a stock 600 not noticing much difference.
I agree with the theory of the boost bottle, especially when my sled came stock with one! Good project, but wait till after the season IMO, unless u dont have snow.

Same here...I noticed when I installed my reeds and Spacers that my Vipe just responded allot better and had an extra grunt...Definetly noticable...However..I also
cleaned my carbs aswell...I've heard mixed reviews on them...I just figured that they definetly can't hurt anything...It was an tuff decision...but you can sell them if you don't notice any difference...
Good luck...

A boost bootle is like a vaccum resavoir witch is to help the bottom end better throttle response

My 600 twin has that very bottle. Is this not a stock part from Yamaha on my V Max?

I'm using the Carbon Tech reeds...I really wanted to try the new Boyeson Reed valves but its hard to part with that much $...Basically from what I've heard...if your installing pipes...than move up to the ReedValves or V-Force...But Some say the Yammy's don't need extra reed related mods...I just had to try it...and love em...
