Oil Injection question

I did a search and didn't find anything. Is there a page or something explaining how to check/adjust the oil pump? I need to know how to check and adjust a 700 triple (SXR) and a 600 twin. I took the boots off the adjuster on both of them but I'm not sure what you're supposed to measure exactly and what it should be. Thank you for any help.
