Had the sled out and was running it pretty fast all evening, on the way home I was holding it wide open for about 1/4 -1/2 mile when all of the sudden the sled just shut down like I had hit the kill switch. Now I did not hit the kill switch, initially I thought I had fried the motor, but I realized I didnt hear anything pop, didn't come to a screaching halt, the sled just shut off. I sat there for a minute wondering what the heck before I attempted to start it. Went to pull the cord and she fired right up and seemed to run fine. Any one ever have this happen to them before? What could have caused this?

I will check the plugs, I'm 99% sure the are the Br9es, but I'll make sure. Not sure how I would tell if there were a short in the bars, any way I can tell that is easy to do?

Visually inspect your harnesses for chafing if you don't find anything start er up and methodically go through the harnesses gently pulling on them untill u isolate the circuit. Intermitent electrical problems are the hardest to diagnose.

i don't think it is your plugs, as stated above it is most likely a worn or chafed wire somewhere. and they can be a bugger to find.

my buddy has b8es's in his MXZ insted of teh br9es is was suspsoe to run and his sled would act like the needle and seat was stuck in teh carbs cause it would run for a second then as soon as u gassed it would shut right downlike u hit teh kill swicth. she changed the plugs and fixed teh problem. he was 2 secs away from buying a new CDI wich was 200 or somthing used from Al's
