I have a 98 SRX 600 and got some adjustable transfer rods cheap. The box says 99, but the dealer said they're for 2000+ and would be a little shorter, but would still work. Maybe would have more transfer than normal.
Is there a difference I should be concerned with?
I like how it handles currently with exception of not drag racing worth a crap...so I hoped this would be a good upgrade to it.

If they are for a 00 and newer SRX they will not work because they changed the mounting holes from the 98-99s. I tried to get the shorter rods to work on my 99 also, to no avail.

You can get them to work...you just need to drill the holes in the new position.
Installed them on mine...I replaced one of the bottom parts before which had the new postion on it...easy...could measure if anyone needs to know where to drill.
