I have a gool deal from a friend on an M10 suspension.
$300 gets me suspension (off polaris) i would need to buy yamaha mounting kit, and maybe recharge shocks

how much for mounting kit, should i do this, or invest in take off viper springs/shocks instead for rear

either way, what front springs/shocks do I need/can use (viper, MM? sxr?)

new to board and love my srx

also, I may exchange chain drive sprocket to 21 tooth? for better low end/hole shot. Is this a good cheap idea? buddies new 800MXZ's got me in the first mile but i finally took them on the road ( not till 100mph +)
don't want to loose too much top end. but sick of the stories about less than a mile between turns.

thanks for the advice

For that kind of Money you will never get your stock skid to ride like an M10 but if you race and want still have the weight transfer you should consider the rebuilds.....it really depends on what you are looking for.

ran in the UP with some friends this winter after getting the sled
smoked all of them through the turns. to the point i stopped and waited for them. 1 thundercat, 2 new MXZ800 rev,s 1 polaris X Edge.

but in the washboards doing 80+ the Rev's walked away from me. tried to keep up but got blurry vision from the cranial oscillations, bordering on concusion I think. rode one of the Rev's and it was like butter over the washboards.

I love the technical stuff (turns with lifted inside ski, throttle steering like my days racing go carts..... but miss my polaris extra 12 in the washboards .So I want the compromize inbetween.

so I plan to dial in a lot of set in with the m10 to ride not super high and then hopefully gobble up the washboards, and still be able to turn, after all i could turn my extra 12 ok.

but if it will cost $800 all said and done on my $3800 sled, i will opt for the shock replacement instead and be improved.

what is my stock 2000 srx skid worth to someone with a cracking older model? 3000 miles, supplied with brand new hifax.
that will at least offset some cost..

thanks for the advice

M 10 mount kit will run you $200 and the rebuilds around $60 each. Your skid is worth around $250 to $350 depending on the right buyer and condition. I love my m10 but it will not be a racer....thats skid will take the top off it from 5 to 10 mph depending on how its set up. But it will eat anything you put in front of it without pulling your spine out of the top of your head.
