front limiter strap

What do the "settings" on the front limiter strap do and where should I be?

It's in the 2nd to last hole. 96 Vmax 600xt. I just put in the revalved shock and new spring and it is quite a stretch to get the limiter straps to make it.

The limiter strap adjusts the amount that the frt of the skid can DROP on accel. The longer the strap the more ski lift. The stock setting is 2nd hole from the end.
The stock setting should work good with the new frt spring. You can always lengthen it as needed after riding it. Doing the strap adjustment with the skid in the machine is easier because the weight if the machine will compress the frt shock and give you some strap slack to work with.

I think that's the one I'm in. I'm in the 2nd hole from the end (not really the 2nd from the last....)

Man will I ever be glad to finish this thing...
