has enyone went the route of getting the mountain performance tunnel with or without kickup after putting a longer skid on their sled either 141 or bigger? im curious to know about how they like it, how the instalation went if they installed it or if there are any issues with it at all....

thanks
eric

i installed a 144 kit on my 04 viper and a 04 vennom also 04 rx1 they work mint no problems but it took a few nights in the garage :yrules:

144

did the 144" mpi kit with an tunnel extension and am going to buy a vanamburg 144" with the kick up , except I dont know if i will be able to use the stock seat with the kick up

Its a good kit

I did one on my Viper. It is a good kit and Mtn Perf is good to work with. Let me know if you want to buy one all ready to go. Here's a pic. Mine is a 144 tunnel but I'm running a 136. Could easily be converted to a 144 with the Expert since it would just be a "set back" relocation.

thanks alot guys!...i just got off the phone with a tech guy from mountainperformance.....really informative help they are!.. .i think im going to go with the 159 tunnel from mountain performance because it comes with the chaincase that relocates the jackshaft into the tunnel...it seems like a really good quality kit that is specific to my 01 SRX

been there, done that. be patient! if you dont have a pneumatic rivet gun, borrow, rent or buy one. rivets, rivets, rivets!
for doing the tunnel is it a total need to have a pneumatic rivet gun ? whats its difference from using a hand operated riveter?...

what he is sayin is that they use really heavy duty rivets. i know the ones for my rear cooler where a b**ch to do with the hand riviter.

oh okay..so in other words ...using the hand riviter id just have strong hands when i was finished.....hehe...i think ill start looking around for the pneumatic!....

I have the MPI/Eckholm Tunnel. It's a 151 tunnel. I love it. The drop and roll is a nice improvement.
