i am thinking of converting a 90 phazer to a mountain sled. any advice? has anyone done it? trying to figure out how big of track i can use and any other mods i should do.

There's a couple for sale on eBay (Colorado) that maybe you can eye-ball what the factory ones looked like.
Basicly all Yamaha did to make the mountain light was use a rail extension and 136" track, with a tunnel extension.....basic same suspension. Wifes been riding one since '98 and wouldn't part with it.

check with hartman inc. they made lots of long track phazer conversions I'd go with 136" 11/4 and you should gear it down. I had a 96 mountain lite and it worked real good!!

I've got a 92 Phazer, that I converted to a 136" 1 1/4". Works really well in the mountain's. Track is big enough to improve deep snow performance, but not so big that it robs a lot of horse power.

Go with a 11/4" rip saw that would be good on and off trail same as the crossfire and attack
