I will be longtracking my 2000SRX this summer, so far i have the rail extensions(trackUSA), track 136 ripsaw & Viper bumper, i have a chance to pick up a 99 MMax tunnel extension(which will accept my heat exchanger),brackets,hoses....my question(s) are will the Viper bumper fit(in stock holes) and would newer MMax hose cover fit (the long tappered ones).......two of my other options are the MaxPerf tunnel extension or i have a local company who makes them from scratch (both these options would be $150-$200 more than used parts).....Reaper

Reaper, I longtracked my Viper last winter using the MSRX tunnel extension. I don't believe you will be able to use your Viper bumper. It mounts differently than the stock SRX bumper. You will probably have to use your bumper, which mounts inside (i.e,) through the holes in the extension. If your extension came with hose cover's, they should bolt right on and cover everything. I mounted a rear cooler as well, and was able to reuse my Viper hose's with a little trimming of the hose's. All in all it was a pretty straightforward installation, using all Yamaha parts. If you don't already have one, do yoursaelf a favor and purchase an air riveter,it will really speed up the process. Make sure and purchase the heavier rivets like Yamaha uses. I used a few Pop brand rivets after running short on heavy ones. I ende up having to replace them later because they came loose. I hope this info helps with your install. You won't regret doing it.

long track

I used a 00 MM extension with hoses and hose covers for my 01 SXR. I also just redrilled the stock bumper holes off the SXR to fit the MM extension cause the stock MM bumper is longer. No problems with stock SXR bumper. I was going to run the 98 SRX rear cooler but a 151 track made it impossible.

I've got a chance to pick up parts from a 1999 MMax, are the hoses going to work, i mean are they going to be long enough or will i need '00 and up hoses for length........Reaper

mm extensions

The 99 MMax is fine for a 136 conversion. In 00 MMaxs went to 141 tracks and they will still work for 136 conversions but extensions are longer as well as hoses and covers. If you get all the parts from the 99 it should bolt right up for your 136 project.
