srx tripples in a viper ???


They will fit but you have to do alot of mods on the pipes. Think I'v read somplace on this forum that "betheviper" has done this. Also think you will need a cdi unit from srx 2001-02..
 
Yea they will fit, with no mods to the pipes. just some mods to the can, and port extensions on the exhaust. I was thinking of making some port extensions to do this conversion, but would need $100 per set if you want them. The 2000 CDI box is just good insurance so you don't burn it up. You can run without it, and it will have to be rich, just like all of the aftermarket pipes are for vipers need fairly rich midrange jetting. I would recomend using the srx cdi, if mileage is a conceren. You will need to cut out the side panel above the right front shock tower.

thanks for your input guys as far as a cdi goes i am planning on useing one from a srx it is a viper chassis with a srx motor not sure how i am gonna wire it all together yet thought i would get a wire harnes from both a 02 viper and 02 srx and combine them that will be my next purchase thanks again guys
 
you can only run a 2001 srx box, the 2000 has the wrong connectors on it, and a 02 has dcs and more wires so it wont work either, a 2001 will plug right in.

between the two sites there should be about pages on the subject.

ive done all the r and d, enjoy, my sled gets 14-15mpg and is 12lbs heavier.
 
OOp's yea what mrviper said, only the 2001 box will work on a 2002. Not sure about the 04-05's, with dcs. Someone would need the service manuals to compare the wiring diagrams.
