I need traction on the edge of my running boards, but I don't want to pay $70 for them. Someone mentioned to put some small bolts through the edge of the running board (6 inches apart), I guess this could work. Any other suggestions?

I did a search on Google for "sheer foots" and didn't see anything. Got any pics?

I would too if I were you.Venom said:I'll PM you.
I use just the edge strips, Identical to the surefoots, but fit just on the rolled edge! My Viper has the tunnel bracing so i dont think the sure foots would fit.

I use the fettbrothers gripstrips for the rolled edge. They work awsome too, but would appreciate sharper edges, but then again, for regular boots and shoes, they have plenty of grip, but I use racing boots which are very hard compunds and do not contor around the surface of the strip.
Take a look at them in my pic. I got them in regular aluminum, then put some Duplicolor blue chrome paint to them, then did 6 coats or so, then about 20 of clear, lol
The paint is chipping but thats due to me not roughening up the surface first which wasnt done to retain the clearness of the blue chrome paint.
