I have a 2000 Vmax 600 Triple with a problem with the tach as soon as it revs past 3500 rpm the tach shuts off and the needle goes back to zero.
The machine has no electric start , has reverse and thumb warmers, but also has a battery, could the voltage to the tach be affected by the battery or is the harness shorting out somewhere?? Thanks
