Hey guys, what would hapen if the ring end gaps was too small? would it break the rings? overheat? score up the cylinders?? just curious.

Yes Sir, Right Away Sir.........
I go by .004" per inch of bore for most motors. You can add a couple of thou for safety, too big won't really hurt, but too small can cause troubles. Worst case the ends of the ring can push out and get bit off by a port.
