What's the best way to bleed the coolant system?
I decided to drain my coolant system and replace it with fresh coolant while cleaning carbs the other night. After hooking everything back up and bleding the system the "conventional" way......my temp light continues to flash.....6 short flashes.......(98 srx 700)....In the past we have always used the process of jacking up the front of the sled while running.....so that the air bubbles rise to the highest point....being the coolant tank.........I repeated this process 2 times.......we would bleed the system until the light went off.......then I rode it a few miles....and the light would start flashing again....so we repeated the process......however.......after trailering all the way to Mancelona this past weekend.......the light began flashing again while warming up the sled.......the overflow on the side of the oil tank is almost empty.....but the coolant reservoir itself appears to be full......so I am assuming I have an air bubble in it.....I am sure I am missing something simple....but if you guys have any ideas or tips, they wold be much appreciated....thanks
