Looking for advice re set up for a 1998 SRX for use at 8-10k ft. Stock clutches. 19/42 gears with 9 tooth drivers. Need primary spring and flyweight advice as well as best driven spring and preload. Have a set of heavy hitters that weigh 56 grams naked. I have three sizes of allen screws. Will these weights work at altitude? Looking for stock RPM's.
OZ
yes but...
Not sure about the HH, ...I used stock weights, ...you need to keep it fairly light at altitude, 0.8 grams in, 2.4 grams out, 8DN20's, rpms should be 83-8400, use a couple of shims for higher engagement, use a wyw or psp primary spring, stock secondary @ 80 twist. You have pretty aggressive gearing ran mine around 2.00 with good results. I ran a 136X2" challenger you might want to consider going to 8T anti-rachet drivers and a good paddle track. Carbs were set at MJ 135 (#1,#2), 137.5 (#3), PJ #52.5, JN 2.5, PS 1 3/4 turns out.

Thats a big help OZ. Thanks for taking the time. Track on this sled is a 156" X 2" on a Doo skid with 9 tooth extraverts. Chaincase is rolled. Previous owner claimed 19/42 gears. Haven't opened the chaincase yet but plan to.
