I just installed a set of slp pipes on my 03 mtn viper and was wondering if the rear heat exchanger is big enuff, I know people with the short track vipers installed a rear heat exchanger?

You should be fine with the mtn viper since it already has a heat exchanger in the rear.

I would say that it depends where your riding if your off trail in powder it should be ok but on trail with less powder you may need extra cooling!

do you still have just the stock crossover tube on it,,if you do i woud say no. you need an actual cooler back there.

the mtn viper has about a 3 inch wide cooler their already, I tried to put the srx style rear heat exchanger in but that just wasen't going to fit, I think I will try it the way it is. another question I have is how hot is too hot on the exhaust temp?
