Do I need Rear Protectors on my Viper?

Do I need protectors on my rear heat exchanger on my 03 Viper?

I can see the fronts and the tunnel, but there has got to be 6-8 inches even when someone is on the sled of clearance.

If you have Studs I would recommend it highly!
